What Do We Believe About Love? New At the Healing Artist Studio

What Do We Believe About Love?
The Healing Artist Studio had such a great time putting together and sharing the podcast entitled "Kokopelli's Lounge | Venus | Love Be A Lady" via Podomatic (a podcasting service) that I was decided to create a complimentary radio event. I couldn''t help but answer the call to get down deep into my own beliefs about love as reflected in and inspired by music . . .

Kokopelli's Lounge | New Moon | Galactic Treasure Mix

CLICK HERE for the MUSIC ONLY MIX. This one features commentary, musings and music.

YOU'RE WELCOME TO HELP YOURSELF TO A GALACTIC TREASURE. It's a combination cocktail mix of the happenings: the stars, the moon, the planatery bodies, and the forms that are connected and vibrate to them. Hey! That's us!

There's so much treasure (some visible, some buried) in the inner, outer, above, below and in-between realms. What's represented here is purely what attracted me to tune in via my own channel that I'm happy to share with you. I've pointed my antenna and this is what I've received.

You don't have to dig hard for these galactic nuggets: the New Moon in Gemini; Gemini having it's way with other planetary bodies in the cosmos; Venus winking at going direct; at-tunes via crystal singing bowls, astrologers, healers, words, and music vibes of the celestial kind.

This ship is about to sail.  I'm your Captain and Host. There will be no mutiny. Only bounty.

What's Going On? Tell Me, What's Going On?

CLICK TO VIEW | TIMELESS: Sheila Marden, a woman recently diagnosed with brain cancer, defies all odds to say goodbye to her daughter one last time. Told from the POV of a brain cancer patient. Based on a true story. Good performance by former All My Children actress, Jennifer Bassey.
Can't believe the long stretch it has been for me between my last post here and this one. I'm amazed at how dedicated some of you are to keep coming back. I'm still in this transition-integration space that's expanding (and at the same time grounding in practical forms) my loves: film, healing arts, literary, music, television and web. From what I can tell thus far, Creator's Parrot Channel (Blog, Internet Radio and YouTube) will be transitioning into the Healing Artist Studio for these projects. Many are planned to be produced through Media Classics Ltd, the new film production company in which I am now a partner and creative director. The main office is based in the U.K. but I'm the U.S. partner here in the Tri-State area on the east coast.

I'm wondering what's going on with you?

Reach 4 Freedom: Heal Child Abuse Music Project
The future of the Reach 4 Freedom: Heal Child Abuse Music Project is uncertain at this point. Last month I entered the project in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Competition for funding support. I made it through the first round of semi-finalists but not the final round. The prize is $5,000. It would have paid for me to hire a part-time virtual assistant and a grant writer. For now, please do continue to play the songs dedicated to solutions for child abuse in the world. This project may also transition into a new form under the Healing Artist Studio umbrella. I've submitted another idea to the contest to begin funding it. I won't know the results concerning first round semi-finalists until July 2012.

Rainbow Rotations: Mixing the Music and Mystical Spectrum
Rainbow Rotations is on Podomatic and MixCloud. On queue is a special mix in honor of the planet Venus, the feminine energies, and female perspectives on love! Plus a new Kokopelli's Top Creme of the Crop mix featuring House, Deep House, Downtempo and Chill, probably with some Bossa in there too! Creating these mixes are how I relax. So join me!

Facebook and Twitter Happenings
The most activity now is occuring on my Facebook and Twitter accounts. Both are located on the sidebar on this blog page, so please do connect at either one or both of them.

Kokopelli's Top Creme of the Crop (House, Deep House, Downtempo, Chill) | March 2012

Painting by Allen Littlebear
It was so much fun being a part of the global, 5th Annual Cupid's Hunt 2012 Collaboration Project for Valentine's Week when I honored the Producers, DJs, Mixers, Remixers and Podcasters that serve up tracks that get my lashes fluttering and my heart twittering.

I decided to ask Cupid to keep shooting arrows at those who put a string of pearls around my ears, mind and heart with their mixes and rotations: House, Deep House, Downtempo, Chill. This podcast is the result!

CUPID'S HUNT 2012 Podcast: Love To Producers, DJs, Mixers & Podcasters

Welcome to CUPID'S HUNT 2012: Love To Producers, DJs, Mixers & Podcasters! It's a real pleasure to be a part of this global, 5th annual event featuring mixes and podcasts created and shared by the producers, DJs, mixers and podcasters without whom many of us would never have discovered the music (and the artists) we love. This is my thank you from my heart to yours. Special thanks to NT Grundy.

This podcasts reflects the many tones of love reflected in music: sexual love, romantic love, self-love/spiritual love, friendshio love, broken-hearted love, moving-on-from-this-relationship love, and world community/universal love. I mention the producer, DJ, mixer or podcaster if I know their identity.

LINK TO THE PODCAST VERSION WITH BUY LINKS FOR THESE TRACKS.

For the record, we all know that Cupid is hunting EVERYDAY!

This is my first year participating in this event and I've had a great time putting it together to honor the masters! I hope you enjoy it.

Creator's Parrot Twitter Posts Lead To Features In Two (2) Paper.li Publications

Two followers of the Creator's Parrot Twitter account (@creatorsparrot) have clicked on the links in the tweets and included blog posts as news items in their paper.li publications. Blogging "Business" News Today published by We Blog Journal featured "Heal Our Living and Business Environments One Space at a Time" in the Headlines section in their Friday, February 3, 2012 edition. On Monday, February 6, 2012, the L'Renee Daily Non-stop. Non-pop! published by Irenee featured "What's New at the Healing Artist Studio & Heal Child Abuse Music Project?" in the #New section.

It's good to know that blog posts on Creator's Parrot Channel, The Healing Artist Studio, and Reach 4 Freedom: Heal Child Abuse Music Project included on Twitter as tweets are being read, links are being clicked, and online publishers are finding the blog posts newsworthy.

Much gratitude to @WeBlogJournal and @Ireneedetroit.

Professor Eddy: First Podcast of the Day and Last of January 2012

Groovy, Sexy and Soulful. I have the pleasure and privilege of introducing PROFESSOR EDDY on MixCloud, one of the sites for posting podcasts. If you've been keeping up with posts here, you know by now that I love House Music and that I share my discoveries and personal rotations with you when I get some space to do so. Recently, I decided to set up an account on both Pod-O-matic and MixCLoud just because it affords more exposure to the playlists and podcasts I want to create for my heart and soul health.

Professor Eddy's podcasts draw me in because he weaves so much into them. This morning I was surprised by a remix of GLEN CAMPBELL (that's right, Glen Campbell the country dude!) by someone named B-SHAKES. Then he throws in a Marvin Gaye remix, Johnny Mathis, Billy Paul (with Dr. Martin Luther King in there), Mary J., and I just look forward to who's up next and in what arrangement. He even has a unique podcast of Burt Bacharach & Hal David songs by an electic group of artists. What a great way to begin my day before getting busy with the other things before me today: phone calls to make, emails to send, recordings to make, it's Taco Tuesday so picking up some $1.00 per awesome taco for lunch today. Life is good on the last day of the month and I am not missing the GOOD STUFF while there's breath in my body.

The Bria Project - Splash of Soul (4.5 Hours to 2012!)

It's 4.5 hours until 2012 and I am completely enchanted by the tracks that are a part of The Bria Project's - Splash of Soul cloudcast on MixCloud by Brigetta Dunson. I just met Brigetta after reading someones post about her on Facebook. After she accepted my friend request, I quickly clicked the link to this sweet and hot mix of what Brigetta calls "an eclectic mix blending soul, lounge and deep house." My favorite track is "The Galaxy" by DJ Kawasaki. That's not much of a surprise for those of you who know how much I love Brazilian music. I'm in heaven easing to 2012 with one of my loves: music. Enough from me. On to the music.

Happy New Year to all you lovely people! Love, light and music!

"A New Life" - The House Music Anthem for 2012 (Our New Dimension)

"Brothers In Vibe featuring Rodney 'Biblical Jones' Hamlett - "A NEW LIFE" (Cesar Funck Mix) Brothers In Vibe, formed by Nemo a.k.a Pashaa and Dj Marcuis Wade, are proud to present to you another quality production involving this multi-talented and confirmed singer Rodney Hamlett a.k.a "Biblical Jones" from The MuthaFunkaz. The full release will include mixes by Cesar Funck, The Soul Riderz, Patrick Green and Brothers In Vibe." (Read More)

I met Rodney "Biblical Jones" Hamlett in New York City at a music networking event sponsored by Music Dish and Women in Music in 2010. It was my first time mingling with music professionals in a while, so I just started walking around hoping to connect. Not sure who said hello first, but Rodney was so warm, friendly and encouraging.

This sample track of "A New Life" is the first song I've heard that features him as the vocalist, and I love this song! The last song that I called an anthem on Creator's Parrot Channel radio was "A Brand New Day" written by one of Billboard Magazine's Top 10 Dance/Club Artists of the Decade, Georgie Porgie. Georgie was the featured guest on the show and we had a blast! I picked A Brand New Day as one of my picks for Top Inspirational Songs of 2010. I'd love to feature Rodney on CPC in January 2012. I hope we can make it happen.

Release date: January 1, 2012

Brothers In Vibe Feat Rodney "Biblical Jones" Hamlett - " A NEW LIFE " ( Cesar Funck Mix ) by Nautylus Productions

What's Hot in House Music on SoundCloud for 2012? My Personal Pick.

"Aquatique Records and Pashaa are proud to present newcomer Antonio Eudi and D'Queen in their first release Your Smile. The duet is coming straight from Brazil. D'Queen's voice is so powerful and her writing is done with great taste, leading her to become a true talent in the House Music Industry.
As for Andonio Eudi is considered one of the greatest names of musical production in Brazil, as a DJ, producer, arranger, song writer and advertiser. His House Music has been played by the most important radio stations worldwide and have been supported by great artists of the electronic scene. All of this without even mentioning that he is taking electronic music to a higher level: his first videoclip has been successful on MTV Europe." (Read more)

Introducing Shemian! Big Band 1930s and 1940s Swing Meets House Music! What Is the Greatest Chart Song of All Time?

MUSIC! What is the greatest chart song of all time? This site lists the Top 200. Be sure to read the criteria as other sites also have compilations but may use different criteria, or may be more current. Some of my personal favorites are on the list (Although sadly, many are missing). I've put an asterick next to the ones I hear myself singing from time-to-time. They are: Over the Rainbow - Judy Garland (3*); The Way You Look Tonight - Fred Astaire (17*);  Imagine - John Lennon (19); Let It Be - The Beatles (24*); Happy Days Are Here Again - Ben Selvin (55*); Vogue - Madonna (64); In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry (70*); Billie Jean - Michael Jackson (85); All You Need Is Love - The Beatles (111*); God Bless America - Kate Smith (146*). I believe our favorite music picks can tell a great deal about us: what we value, what past and present experiences are attached to us, and what dreams we hope may come. I wonder if any of yours are on the chart list. Enjoy! ♥

Creator's Parrot Channel: The New Blog

Creator's Parrot Blog is resurrecting! Yeah! It's morphing into "Creator's Parrot Channel" -- the companion blog for the Internet radio channel of the same name on which some of you have been guests, guest co-hosts, followers, and listeners. It will be primarily focused on film, music, TV and Web TV events with the energy that comes with being a healing artist. I don't know if "The First and Last Song" and "The Healing Artist Studio" will be coming back in the same form, new forms, or not at all. The revised blog (it includes this new design which I hope you like), the YouTube channel, and the Facebook page will all be companion sites for the radio channel.

Do check out my LinkedIn Profile for sneak peeks at some of the projects happening now and to come in 2012 and beyond. If anyone would have told me last year at this time what would be happening now, I couldn't have embraced it at all. I had an image of myself in an office with a steady client base in a practice as a healing artist. I tried to arrange my life to become that image. I got the office space in an existing business that has a steady clientele but last week, I called in quits there and moved my office to my home. I had a "inside-the-box" view of what I thought it meant to be a healer. My assumptions and beliefs have been burst open: it has expanded, and is still expanding (More . . .)

What's up in 2012 for us all? As usual, more will be revealed. Be well. ♥
